Elsam has scheduled two annual general service inspections per turbine. In addition, each turbine is expected to require 1-3 extraordinary service checks per year. According to plan, transportation to the site will be made by way of a combination of boat and helicopter. Service technicians will be either sailed to the turbines or transported by helicopter from which they will be hoisted down onto the turbines.

Helicopter transportation drills
In connection with the testing of transportation via helicopter hoist, two drills were carried out during which personnel were hoisted down to Elsam’s 2 MW demonstration turbine near Tjæreborg. The outcome of the drills was satisfactory.
