As the wind turbines were gradually installed
according to the site
plan. The first turbine went in
production July 29 and all of the turbines were in operation by December 11,
2002.
The wind farm is monitored from ashore. The design of the wind turbines allows for minimum service, but each wind turbine will need two annual service calls. In connection with maintenance inspections, service technicians will reach the wind turbines by boat, or alternatively be hoisted down from helicopters.The wind turbines will feature marker lights in consideration of maritime and air traffic.
