About web-cam from Horns Rev

Now it is possible to follow the Horns Rev project via web-cam.

AxisCamControl

To see live pictures from Horns Rev it is necessary to install a plug-in from Axis Communications. To do so you need to click   "yes" to install and run the AxisCamControl the first time you click on the web-cam site.

The Camera

The camera is placed on the transformer platform. Turbine no. 91 is the one in front to the left. You can see the eastern-most row of turbines in the background; i.e. turbines 91, 92, 93 etc. The turbines farthest to the right in the picture is turbine no. 82.

Updating

The picture is renewed every fourth second.

The numbering of the wind turbines

All the turbines of the wind farm are numbered and the principle of the numbering is shown on the below figure. In the first horizontal row turbine Nos. 01, 11, 21 and so on are placed from left towards right. The turbines in the second horizontal row are numbered from 02 to 92 etc. The black square shows the location of the substation.

The lines marks the area covered by the web-cam.
